There are 30 creatures available for hire in the game. Yet, only a small number can join in the battles. Fights are turn-based, though. Squad members can perform attacks, magic, or skills, use Items, defend, and Run from combat. Awarded experience for the win Characters improve their stats as they level up and gain additional abilities occasionally. You do not give points in any category from 0-10 categories. The computer is doing it for the user, instead. It has increased the attack power and defensive power of characters, luck and speed, health, mana, and so on.
